The Egg Harbor Township Emergency Medical Services is a department within the municipality of Egg Harbor Township.  We provide Basic Life Support services to the residents of Egg Harbor Township and its visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This includes the Cardiff, Bargaintown, Scullville, Farmington, West Atlantic City and McKee City sections of the township.  

Our department responds to approximately 5,500 calls for service each year.  We maintain mutual aid agreements with the surrounding communities.  This includes our response into their communities and their response into Egg Harbor Township.

We are a New Jersey Department of Health licensed service consisting of one (1) full time Director and 53 New Jersey certified Emergency Medical Technicians.  All personnel are trained in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and Incident Command. 

We operate six (6) Type III ambulances certified by the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services.  We also have one (1) Command Unit utilized on Mass Casualty Incidents.  These resources are housed and respond from our headquarters located on Fire Road just south of the Garden State Parkway entrance.

We provide resource stand by’s for community events and are available for civic organization demonstrations as well.  Some services are fee based.

The Opiod crisis affects so many in our community.  There is help out there.  Our department along with the police department carry Narcan for Opiod overdoses.  We also have a “Substance Abuse Resource Guide“ available in our ambulances or by visiting the EHT Police Departments website.
